November is transitional time between autumn and winter in the North of Vietnam, is the rainy season in the Central Coast, the transitional time between the rainy season and the dry in the Central Highlands and South of Vietnam.
In November the far-northern mountains may have occasional rain each time a new spell of the cool Northeasterly Monsoon comes. But it is mostly pleasant sunshine and extremely pleasant temperatures in the North.
It does not happen often but there may be typhoons or tropical depressions which may have impact in the Central Coast and Central Highlands of Vietnam.
The South of Vietnam start entering into the dry season. There are days with overcast skies and days with sunlight. Depending on an individual year that there may still be rain at the beginning of the month.

1/North Vietnam
The North of Vietnam experienced more autumnal weather in November 2022: sunny days, dry air, extremely pleasant temperatures 20-23oC.
The North started having light rain for a couple of days in the lowlands and heavy rain in the mountains from mid November. The temperatures were pleasant mostly 20-29oC. It should have been winter time but the temperatures were higher than usual. It was so unusual but was very lovely weather anyway.
There were successive spells of Northeasterly Wind coming into Northern Vietnam from 19-24 of November causing light rain in most of the North. The temperatures turned slightly lower, 23-29oC in the lowlands and 2-3oC lower in the far northern mountains.
In 2022, the North of Vietnam enjoyed a full month with autumnal weather.
On the last day of November 2022 there was a strong spell of cold Northeasterly Wind hitting northern Vietnam starting the winter time in this region. The temperatures in the far northern mountains dropped suddenly to 11-24oC; Hanoi and the lowlands still enjoyed a lovely day with temperatures of 24-31oC. The whole of northern Vietnam is heading into the winter tomorrow for certain! Meteorology had forecast the beginning of winter in 2022 on 7-November-2022.
2/The North of the Central Region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh)
In the first half of November, the North of the Central Region of Vietnam had mixed of rainy and sunny days, pleasant temperatures: 21-28oC.
The region had rain mostly in the second half of November. The temperatures were 24-27oC.
There was heavy rain in the region coming towards the end of the month which was result of consecutive spells of strengthened Northeasterly Wind. The temperatures were 23-28oC.
3/ The Central Coast of Vietnam (Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan)
It rained mostly at the beginning of the month. The temperatures are between 20-29oC.
It rained heavily in the South of the Central Coast in mid November making several areas in Phu Yen Province flooded. The temperatures were 24-29oC.
It rained mostly coming toward the end of the month. The temperatures were 23-29oC.
In November 2022, the Central Coast of Vietnam had a usual weather pattern of a rainy season.
4/ The Central Highlands of Vietnam (Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong)
There were more dry days with sunlight but there are still some days with rain at the beginning of the month. The temperatures: 20-29oC.
There was heavy rain in the Central Highlands in mid November. The temperatures were 21-29oC.
It rained mostly coming towards to end of November but there were overcast days too. The temperatures were 19-29oC.
5/The South of Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Vung Tau, Dong Nai, and the Mekong Delta)
It rained mostly at the beginning and in mid of November 2022. The temperatures were 24-30oC.
In the second half of November there were rainy days and days with overcast skies in southern Vietnam. It turned chilly in the early morning and evening on some days. The temperatures were 24-29oC and were 20-24oC in the morning and evening on some days.
