Adventure Laos and Cambodia is a soft adventure tour of Laos and Cambodia in 21days, 20 nights. The tour follows the flow of the Mekong River from northern Laos to southern Laos, crossing the land border into Cambodia. The adventure brings our travellers a thorough experience of the two countries.
Adventure Tour of Laos & Cambodia Overview
The trip covers most of the tourist attractions in Laos and Cambodia including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Luang Prabang, Wat Phou, the Temples of Angkor. Besides, we visit the less-visited travel attractions in southern Laos, northern Cambodia such as the Boloven Plateau, the 4,000 Islands, Stung Treng, Kratie. At the end of the trip, we will have some relaxing time on the fine sand beaches of Sihanoukville.
The pace of travel is moderate and the activities include culture-touring, boating, trekking. Accommodations for the trip include standard hotels and luxury hotels depending on local conditions and inpidual request from our travellers.

Arriving at Luang Prabang Airport, welcomed and transferred to the hotel.

Day 2 Luang Prabang Morning City Tour/free afternoon (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning city tour of Luang Prabang taking in: the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, Vat Xieng Thong, Vat Sen, Vat Visun and Mount Phousi with the panoramic view of this countryside city.
Free time for the remainder of the day.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 3 Luang Prabang – Hill Tribe Villages – Kuangsi Waterfall (3 – 4 hours hiking) – Luang Prabang (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Take a road trip by car to Ban Long Laoh of the Hmong ethnic people where we begin the 4-hour trekking adventure through untouched landscapes with hills, forests and villages...
Picnic lunch by Kuangsi Waterfall and time for refreshment by the fall.
In the afternoon, the car takes us back to Luang Prabang.

Day 4 Luang Prabang – Phonsavan (300km) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Full day car trip through the untouched natural landscapes of Laos to Xieng Khouang Province. Arriving at Phonsavan in late afternoon, free time for the remainder of the day.

Day 5 Phonsavan Tour (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning tour of the mysterious Plain of Jars.
Afternoon tour of Muang Khoune, the former provincial capital of Xieng Khouang Province. Visit Wat Thia and damages from the destructive war.
Overnight at Phonsavan.
Day 6 Phonsavan – Vang Vieng (250km) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Road journey through the scenic hilly landscapes to Vang Vieng.
Arriving in the afternoon, check into the hotel and have leisure time.
Overnight at Vang Vieng.
Day 7 Vang Vieng Trekking (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Full day trekking in the untouched mountains of Vang Vieng. Picnic lunch en route.
Arrive back in the afternoon and have free time.

Day 8 Vang Vieng – Vientiane (150km)Tour of Vientiane (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Road trip to Vientiane. Arriving at Vientiane in early afternoon, have a tour of the capital city visiting Vat Sisaket, with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, Vat Prakeo, Vat Simuang, the missile-like That Luang Monument and Vientiane’s Arc de Triomphe, the Patouxai Monument.
Overnight in Vientiane.
Day 9 Vientiane – Pakse – Boloven Plateau – Pakse (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Pakse, the provincial capital of Champasack Province. Welcomed on arrival and travel to Boloven Plateau to visit the communities of Katou, Alak and Ngea ethnic minorities.
Lunch at a riverside restaurant.
Travel back to Pakse in late afternoon.
Overnight at Pakse.
Day 10 Pakse – Wat Phou – Khong Island (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning boat trip for 1 hour 30 minutes on the Mekong River to Champasack (Champasak) Town where we join our car for 15km road trip to Wat Phou.
Lunch at Champasak Town.
Then, travel by car for 2 hours to Khong Island, the biggest of the 4,000 islands on the Mekong River. During the rainy season, the Mekong River here may get up to 14km wide. Don Khong is 16km in length and 8km in width, the center of the island is Muang Khong.
Overnight on Khong Island.
Day 11 Khong Island – Done Khone – Khong Island (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, enjoy 1 hour boat trip downstream to Done Khone. The boat cruise offers scenic natural landscapes and interesting riparian life. Visit Done Khone with the old railway station, the locomotive, boiler car built by the French earlier.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Further boat cruise to join our car for the road trip to Khon Pha Pheng, biggest one in South East Asia.
Arrive back to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 12 Kong Island – Dongkalor (Cambodia ) – Kratie (200km) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Travel by car to Dongkalor, border-crossing point between Laos and Cambodia. Complete formalities and welcomed by our Cambodian team for further road trip to Kratie. Arriving at Kratie, boat trip to Koh Trong, an island opposite the waterfront of Kratie. Check into the hotel and have free time.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning is for watching the fresh water Irrawady Dolphins. Then, visit Phnom Sombok Temple.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Sunset boat trip back to Koh Trong.

Day 14 Kratie – Kampong Thom (250km) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Boat trip to Kratie town and take our car for the road journey to Kompong Thom.
Lunch at Kompong Thom.
In the afternoon, visit Sombor Prei Kuk the Pre-Angkorean Temple.
Overnight at Kompong Thom.
Day 15 Kampong Thom – Beng Mealea – Siem Reap/Tonle Sap Boat Trip (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Road journey to the forgotten temple of Beng Mealea.
Then, continue onto Siem Reap. Have a boat trip on the Tonle Sap with visit to Kompong Phluk village with houses on stilts.
Overnight at Siem Reap.

Day 16 Siem Reap Angkor Temples (B)
Early morning trip to adore sunrise over Angkor Wat.
Then, breakfast at the hotel.
Continue our exploration of Angkor taking in: the Royal city of Angkor Thom, the South Gate, Bayon temple, the Elephant Terrace, Terrace of the Leper King, Preah Khan and Ta Phrom (known as jungle’s temple).
In the afternoon, tour Angkor Wat. In late afternoon, drive to the Pre Rup temple for a magical sunset over the rice paddies.

Breakfast at the hotel.
Tour Neakpean, Ta Som, Phreah Khan Temples.
In the afternoon, travel through the peaceful countryside to Banteay Srei Temple or "The Citadel of Women” known for its intricate carvings.
Travel back to Siem Reap and have free time.
Overnight at Siem Reap.

Free time in the morning.

Travel through the countryside to the capital city. On arrival, tour of Phnom Penh: Royal Palace and the Toul Sleng Museum.
