Trekking Tour Through Cao Bang Geopark is a 5-day hard trekking adventure tour through one of the most scenic areas of the UNESCO-listed geopark of Cao Bang in the Northeast of Vietnam.

The trekking terrain includes thin forest, valleys, limestone mountains and lovely pastures. All meals on the tour are included. Accommodations are at local ethnic Nung and Tay with simple conditions.

Day1 ( Sunday, October 15, 2023 ) Hanoi – Cao Bang – Phuc Sen (Quang Hoa, Cao Bang) (-/L/D)
0800 A.M Depart Hanoi on the scenic route 3 passing through Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan and Cao Bang Provinces.
Lunch en route.
Our destination is Phuc Sen Commune, home to the Nung and Tay Peoples.
Dinner at the homestay.
Overnight with a Nung Family.
Day2 ( Monday, October 16, 2023 ) Day Trekking to Visit Villages around Phuc Sen (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the homestay.
Trek through mountains, corn fields, rice fields to visit handicraft villages: weaving bamboo baskets and tools, making tiles, incense. The trek is especially hard if it is too sunny or if it rains.
Picnic lunch and dinner at the homestay.
Overnight with a Nung Family.
Day3 ( Tuesday, October 17, 2023 ) Trekking Phuc Sen to Phja Hai: Thin forest and ethnic villages (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the homestay.
Trek through karstic mountains, thin forest and valleys to Phja Hai Commune. The trails we trek on today are not much used nowadays. The awards are amazing untouched landscape with evergreen colors.
Picnic lunch and dinner at the homestay.
Overnight with a Nung or Tay Family.
Day4 ( Wednesday, October 18, 2023 ) Trekking Phja Hai to the Thang Hen Lake and the Thung Mountain (Angel Eye’s Mountain): Thin forest and ethnic villages (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the homestay.
Trek through karstic mountains, thin forest and valleys to the Thang Hen Lake and the Thung Mountain which are located in the heart of one of the UNESCO Global Geoparks. While it is famed recently, the region is only visited by a small number of Vietnamese adventure travellers who camp around the lake or the mountain. We will have plenty of time exploring the mystery of the Thang Hen Lake and the exotic Angel’s Eye Mountain. The end of the day will be for unforgettable moments amid visually pleasant green pastures around the mountain.

Overnight at a simple guesthouse of homestay style.

Day5 ( Thursday, October 19, 2023 ) Thung Mountain – Cao Bang – Ha Noi (B/L/-)
Breakfast and enjoy relaxing moments amid the peaceful landscape.
Transfer back to Hanoi.
Lunch en route.
