Mai Chau Trek is a hard trekking adventure tour visiting remote mountains and ethnic villages of Hoa Binh for 4 days, 3 nights.
Mai Chau Trekking Tour Overview
We’ll travel through some forests and mountains, trek through many hill tribe villages. The tour pace is hard adventure and the accommodation is homestay with very basic facilities. All our meals on the trekking tour are cooked by our local adventure cook. Local conditions are poor and medicare is not available, please bring along first aid kits, medicine, insect repellent, degradable soap before departure.

Detailed itinerary
Day1: Hanoi – Hoa Binh - Mai Chau (L/D)
We travel 150 km (4 hours) from Hanoi to Mai Chau. The countryside fresh beauty offers us plenty of photo opportunities. Arriving at Lac Village, which is home to the White Thai People, we’ll have refreshment and lunch.
In the afternoon, we take a walking tour through villages in the valley. Tonight, we stay with a White Thai family in a house on stilts. In the evening, after dinner it will be time for cultural exchange with the tour guide and the family.

Mai Chau Valley
Day2: Mai Chau - Xa Linh - Hang Kia (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the home.
Leaving Mai Chau in the morning, we travel 40 km (1 hour) further into the north western mountains of Vietnam. We’ll be transferred to Xa Linh Market and from here we start our trekking adventure for 2 hours to a Flower H'Mong village which is secluded in the heavenly Hang Kia Valley.
We will have lunch at the village and have time in the afternoon for exploring the surroundings. In the evening, we will have time sipping the local tea and socializing with the host's family by the fire.

Day3: Hang Kia - Van (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the home.
Today the adventure is harder than yesterday with 6-7 hours on the mountains and through some forests. If we are lucky enough in the right fruit season; then we may pick some grapefruits or papayas. We will have lunch en route and overnight in Van, a White Thai village.

Day4: Van - Mai Chau - Hoa Binh - Hanoi (B/L)
After breakfast, we walk for 2 more hours and join our car back to Hanoi. We stop in Hoa Binh town for lunch before arriving back to the city. We trust you had an unforgettable adventure tour in the North West of Vietnam with Paradissa Travel.
