Follow the local ethnic boys and girls to the colorful Sunday Market at Bac Ha Town. The busiest time is from 0700 A.M to 1100 A.M. Ethnic people from various villages in Bac Ha District would gather around the town for trading in agricultural produce and for socializing. They travel on foot and by horse from early in the morning to get to the market in time.

The market is in session only once a week and people take the opportunity to sell or buy something. Many others don't buy or sell anything; they come to the market to meet with buddies and have drinks. Most if not all of them get drunk by the time the market dismisses and people start going home. Young girls and boys come to the market to find their potential partner. The market is a real treat for your senses with a feast of colors, smells and sounds...

Travel back to the village for lunch. Have easy time in the village in the afternoon. Travel back to Pho Lu in late afternoon for the overnight train trip back to Hanoi.
