Our adventure trip brings your family to the idyllic national park of Ba Be and the amazing world of the Rock Plateau of Dong Van. The former is among World Ramsar Sites and the latter is listed to Global Geopark Network by the UNESCO. And that is not all! We’ll follow a rarely visited route with sensational landscape which is so attached to the team of Paradissa that each trip back here is like coming home for us, and that it is here we belong!
Accommodations are at boutique hotels, the best available in each locale. Except for daily breakfasts, your family will have free time taking the culinary adventure with assistance of our experienced tour guide. The pace of travel is easy.

Detailed itinerary
Day1 ( Thursday ) Hanoi – Thai Nguyen – Ba Be Lake (220km)/Boat Trip on the lake (-/D)
08:00 A.M Our driver and guide pick your family up from your hotel and we take the road trip to the Northeast of Vietnam. Once passing through Thai Nguyen City, we’ll turn into a country back road with valleys and mountains all the way to Ba Be National Park.
Arriving at the national park, have time for refreshment then take a boat trip on the Ba Be Lake surrounded by lush tropical forest and towering mountains.
In late afternoon and evening, take in the mountain chill and enjoy a cozy family time at your own pace.

Day2 ( Friday ) Ba Be National Park – Nguyen Binh – Meo Vac (250km) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Take a less-traveled road with wild landscape of sensational beauty for the Dong Van Plateau. Later in the day, we’ll have to climb steep mountain slopes to get to the Dong Van Plateau, an amazing world like in a fairy tale. You’ll have plenty photos of your family on the way!
Overnight at a boutique hotel in Meo Vac Township.
Day3 ( Saturday ) Meo Vac (Dong Van Plateau) – Ma Pi Leng Pass - Lung Cu – Lung Tao – Dong Van (100km) (B)

We leave Meo Vac and take on an uphill road with ethereal landscape by our sides: towering menacing karst mountains by a bottomless canyon, serrated ridges lining the horizon… We’ll have two hours for soaking in the natural grandeur then descend our way into Dong Van Old Town. Check in and have time for refreshment.
In the afternoon, get lost in the amazing world of the Dong Van Rock Plateau. We’ll travel to the northern-most territory of Vietnam and climb the Lung Cu Flag Tower for panoramic views of the surroundings. Then visit a Lo Lo Village and make our way back to Dong Van via Lung Tao. The road offers amazing landscape beyond your imagination!
Late in the afternoon, have a walking tour of Dong Van Old Quarter with our guide. We’ll visit some families living in the oldest houses in town.

Day4 ( Sunday ) Dong Van Market – Sa Phin Vuong Family Residence – Ha Giang (150km) (B)

Get up early and engage in the most colorful market in Vietnam, Dong Van Ethnic Sunday Market. Do not forget to take in anything from here be it the colors, the smells, the noise…. It is all fantastic and unbelievable.
Then we come back to the hotel to get our luggage and travel to the Vuong Family Residence, former residence of the “Hmong King” of Dong Van Plateau. The residence has a lovely Chinese architecture and a lovely story of the construction process. Do not miss adoring the amazing world of rock mountains, valleys,… all around you!
Leaving the house of the Hmong King, we’ll travel through the unreal beauty of the Karst Plateau of Dong Van for Ha Giang. We’ll stop at various places on the way at Quan Ba and Yen Minh for photographs.
We arrive at Ha Giang City later in the day, a lovely small city by the Lo River. Your family have the evening at your own pace.

Day5 ( Monday ) Ha Giang – Hanoi (300km) (B)
Breakfast at the hotel.
A relaxing day making our smooth trip by the Lo River to Tuyen Quang. Then turn into a country road amid rice fields and mountains back to the capital city of Vietnam. We’ll arrive back in Hanoi at the end of the day. We trust your family had a great adventure to the far northern mountains of Vietnam with Paradissa!
