Pu Luong Trekking is a hard trekking adventure tour visiting remote mountains and ethnic villages of Pu Luong Nature Reserve in Thanh Hoa for 4 days, 3 nights.
Pu Luong Trekking Tour Overview
The trekking adventure is to enhance our physical strength while enjoying the wilderness of the surrounding nature. At night, we stay at family houses of the White Thai ethnic people inhabiting the areas and exchange culture with them.
Most meals and drinking water on the trek are prepared by our cook and included into the tour cost. Amenities during the trip are quite basic, but we are rewarded with the natural beauty of Pu Luong and the untouched culture of local ethnic people.

Detailed itinerary
Day1 Hanoi – Mai Chau - Pu Luong Nature Reserve (Hang Village, 02 hours trekking) (L/D)
Leaving Ha Noi in the morning, we travel along the scenic road to Mai Chau Valley. On the way, we stop at Thung Khe Pass where you can have a panoramic view of the stunning nature around. Our lunch is served in a house on stilts in a White Thai Village.
After lunch, we travel further by car to Sai Village where we start our 2-hour trek to Hang Village.
The village is located in a valley surrounding by forests, mountains and visually-appealed rice terraces.
Evening is for drinking and exchanging culture with the family.

Day2 Hang Village – Kho Muong Village (5-6 hours trekking) (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the family house.
Bidding farewell to our host, We embark on our trekking adventure passing through patches of forests on uneven terrains. The trekking time is estimated for 5-6 hours. We have picnic lunch in the forest.
In early afternoon, we arrive at Kho Muong, another Thai Village with sublime beauty. The remainder of the day is for exploring the surrounding of Kho Muong Village.

Day3 Kho Muong Village – Nua Village (5-6 hours trekking) (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the family house.
We leave Kho Muong in the morning, trekking on mountain slopes through some ascents and dales. There are scenic Thai Villages and rice terraces along our trek today. Most of the time, we have panoramic view of these villages.
Picnic lunch on the way.
We arrive at Nua Village in the afternoon. Our host is another Thai Family, whose house on stilts is located by rice paddies. The house offers sweeping view across the valley with a river running across.
Dinner at the home.

Day4 Nua Village – Ba Village – Hanoi (5-6 hours trekking) (B/L)
Breakfast at the family house.
Leaving Nua Village, we trek uphill of a high limestone mountain range. Every now and again, you may like to stop and look back at the valley that we have trekked through in the last few days. The ascent is hard, but the breezes do help us to get refreshed and keep on with the adventure. Our picnic lunch is in the jungle on the way.
After lunch, take easy walk further to Ba Village where our car should have been ready to transfer us back to Hanoi. We trust you have got a wonderful adventure tour through the fresh nature Pu Luong.
