The Temple of Literature in Hanoi, which was The First University of Vietnam and which dates back to the 11th century, is the symbol of the Vietnamese learning tradition. The Temple of Literature (The Temple of Knowledge) was built in 1070 as the place for worshiping Confucius and his disciples, since that time Confucianism was the national ideology of Vietnam.
Tram Gian Pagoda or Quang Nghiem Tu, whic is located on top of the Tran Mountain with large garden of old big timber trees, is in Tien Nu Village, Tien Phuong Commune, Chuong My District, Hanoi. The area was formerly in Ha Tay Province.
The West Lake of Hanoi has an area of 520 hectares. It was part of the Red River earlier, but when the river silted up, the West Lake along with many other lakes in Hanoi were created naturally.
Thien Cung Cave or the Cave of Heavenly Palace is on the same island with Dau Go Cave. While Dau Go Cave boasts the mossy beauty and glorious history, Thien Cung Cave makes the visitors the impression of being in a heavenly world.
Tho Ha Village is in Bac Giang Province, 50km north of Hanoi. The village used to specialize in making pottery wares. In the 1980s, the villagers abandoned the old tradition and adopted new ones: making rice noodles, rice crackers…
The Thung Khe Pass (also known as the White Rock Pass, White Cliff Pass) is in between Mai Chau and Tan Lac Districts of Hoa Binh Province. The Thung Khe Pass offers commanding views of the mountains, valleys and villages below. The top of the pass is often covered in fog in the summer.
Thung Nang of Ninh Binh Province is a flooded area adjacent to Tam Coc and close to Bich Dong. While Tam Coc is flanked by rice fields and has more activities, Thung Nang is a pristine and untouched area. There's not much human activities here, only a few people fishing in the wild area...To get to Thung Nang, you'll travel for 1km from Tam Coc on the way to Bich Dong Pagoda. The rowing boat trip at Thung Nang is about 2hours 15 minutes.
Thung Nham Bird Valley is in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province. Thung Nham is a popular tourist attraction for nature lovers. Thung Nham Bird Valley could offer some good birding experience if you are here at the right time.
Tieu Son Pagoda was built around the 10th century A.D, located on the mountain of Tieu, 20km north of Hanoi. Tieu Son Pagoda was where King Ly Cong Uan, who later founded Hanoi to be the capital city of Vietnam was brought up and trained to be one of the most visionary kings of Vietnam. The pagoda offers commanding views of the idyllic surrounding countryside.
To Thi Mountain (The mountain of Lady To) is a cluster of mountains in Tam Thanh Ward, on the north-western edge of Lang Son City. It is a must to visit To Thi Mountain if you ever have a chance to travel to Lang Son City.
Tram Tau District of Yen Bai Province is 30km south-west of Nghia Lo Town. Tram Tau is bordered to the west and south-west and south by Son La Province. It is 60km from Tram Tau to Bac Yen Town of Son La and the road is almost impassable. The scenery on the way is lovely though. Even locals do not normally travel on this road.
Tran Hung Dao Campaign 1950-1951 also known as Trung Du Campaign to the Viet Minh. During the campaign there were important battles at Vinh Yen, and it is known as the Battle of Vinh Yen to the French. The battle took place in 2 phase: 26 to 30-December-1950 and 12 to 17-Jan-1951.
