Tam Coc is 7 km from Ninh Binh City and Hoa Lu Ancient Capital. Tam Coc is a flooded area with towering mountains jutting out of green rice paddies.
Tam Dao Hill Station is perched on the slope of Tam Dao Mountain Range, in Vinh Phuc Province, in the North West of Vietnam. The town has an average elevation of over 1,000m above sea level and is cool all year round.
Tam Thanh Cave is the biggest cave in Lang Son City, next to the To Thi Mountain, 2km from the city center. The cave is 400m long and has openings to both sides of the mountain. There are different sections inside the cave, the outer one is home to the Tam Thanh Pagoda. A trip to the Tam Thanh Cave combined with the To Thi Mountain could take 2-3 hours easily.
In the seventh lunar month of 1010, King Ly Cong Uan moved the capital city of Vietnam from Hoa Lu (in Ninh Binh Province now) to Dai La City which he renamed Thang Long or the City of Ascending Dragon, which is nowadays Hanoi. In the same year, lots of work were started to build palaces and auxiliary buildings to house the royal family and the royal court.
Thanh Hoa Province is located 160 km south of Hanoi. Thanh Hoa, which stretches from the Laotian border to the East Vietnam Sea, is rarely visited by the foreign travellers to Vietnam.
Thay Pagoda (The Master Pagoda) was first built from the 12 century by Master Tu Dao Hanh at the base of the Sai Son Mountain, Sai Son Commune, Quoc Oai District. The pagoda location formerly belonged to Ha Tay Province which has been integrated into Hanoi nowadays.
The Do Temple Festival is held at Dinh Bang, Bac Ninh Vietnam on the 14th, 15th and 16th of the third lunar month; the main ceremonies take place on the 15th. The festival commemorates the coronation of King Ly Cong Uan (Ly Thai To). There are two parts of the festival: the spiritual ceremonies and the festival with different folk games and traditional performances.
The French Quarter of Hanoi was built to the south of the Old Quarter and the Hoan Kiem Lake from 1883, right after the French arrival in the city. The French Quarter of Hanoi is characterized with wide tree-lined boulevards, sidewalk cafes, fine-dining restaurants, luxurious hotels and French-styled villas.

The Independence Palace (also called the Reunification Palace) was built from 1868 and completed in 1871 by the French after they had conquered the six provinces in the South of Vietnam (Cocochine). The Palace had been meant to be the Residence of the Governor of South Vietnam and it was called Norodom Palace (after the King of Cambodia).
The Lake Lake of 500ha is a natural lake in Lien Son Town, Lak District, Dak Lak Province, 56km south of Buon Ma Thuot City and is untouched by mass tourism. The lake is on the way between Buon Ma Thuot City and Da Lat.
