Detailed itinerary
08:00 A.M Our guide meets you at your hotel and we travel the the Street without Joy northward to the Phuoc Tich Ancient Village. The idyllic village is almost surrounded by the O Lau River. On arrival, visit the old houses, learning about the history of the village, the architecture and discover how all survived the war and bad weather effects.
Then we’ll proceed with a visit to a local shrine and communal house to learn about an amazing aspect of local culture, and the social activities of the community.
We’ll also visit a ceramic workshop and get to know the traditional occupation of the villagers which face much competition now and see if there is any opportunity for them to recover their business.
A leisurely cycling trip brings us to the My Xuyen Carpentry Village where we’ll meet with the carpenters and learn more of their life and work.
When it is about mid day we’ll have to bid farewell to the amazing world of Phuoc Tich and travel back to Hue.
