Nha Trang City is the provincial capital of Khanh Hoa Province, south of the Central Region of Vietnam. Nha Trang is famous for white sand beaches, turquoise transparent sea water and stunning coral reefs, and has always been among the top popular tourist destinations in Vietnam.
Nha Trang Travel Guide Overview
Nha Trang City sprawls from north to south separated from the blue sea by a strip of white fine sand beaches which run for kilometers. The beachfront offers sea-breezed bars and palm-lined footpaths. The city is bisected by the Cai River flowing eastward which offers idyllic scenery and relaxing river boat trips.
Nha Trang Bay is is one of the 29 most beautiful sea bays in the world. Nha Trang Bay is dotted with myriad islands and islets which are ringed by heavenly beaches. There are luxury resorts and theme parks on some of these islands. The turquoise sea waters in Nha Trang Bay are home to many kinds of marine life including colorful coral reefs. Nha Trang Bay is excellent for getaway beach vacations, snorkeling and scuba-diving tours.
Nha Trang Climate, Best Time to Visit Nha Trang
Nha Trang has a tropical monsoon climate with oceanic climate influence: the dry season from January to August and the rainy season from September to December. Most of the rainfalls are in late September, October and November. During the rainy season the Cai River discharges its water into the East Vietnam Sea making the sea water along the coastline and along the city beach of Nha Trang murky. The waters far from the coast are not affected. Tourism at Nha Trang is slack during the rainy season which means quiet beaches and more likely lower prices for food and accommodation.
